Well, I haven't been here in awhile...that's because there really hasn't been much to talk about.

OTA's are going well, the QB compitition continues and the team is looking good.

Other than that, ...Not Much to write about. I've been working hard on getting my business off the ground. Still a long way to go there but, I'm doing it!! That's the whole thing...I'm DOING IT!!

 So, until next time...

See Ya @ The StickCool

I'm not sure if any have seen it yet but, I know you will.

San Francisco Mayor Newsom has lost his mind I think. He's talking of "SUEING" the San Francisco 49ers?

All because they won't change the name?

I don't think I have heard anything so rediculous. Why would you want the team that put the city of San Francisco on the NFL map, to change the name of the team?!? That would make absolutely NO SENSE! If the 49ers were to change the name of the team, you can best believe...football season in the city of San Francisco would NEVER NEVER be the same.

As far as I'm concerned if the name remains, people outside of California will still want to go to a "SAN FRANCISCO 49ers game because they ARE the SAN FRANCISCO 49ers!

In my opinion, Mayor Newsom should be happy that the 49ers are keeping the name. The mayor is quoted as saying

Hey,

It's been a few days but, I'm back. This is going to be short and sweet...

Dre Bly stikes me as the kind of guy who is going to ALWAYS be talking to his team mates on the side line. He's full of energy and I can see it in his eyes.

In his recent interview on 49ers.com, just listening to him talk had me short of breath..lol He talks a mile a minute but that's a good thing from a Cornerback. We LOVE to talk becasue that's what we do to the receivers when we're out there on the field...TALK TRASH!!!

So, I'm quite happy that the Niners picked him up. He's going to bring a lot of intensity to our defense this year.Wink

Here's something I found to be very interesting...I'm not too sure I can deal with "sharing" the stadium with the Raiders...

OK, I've been over to the 49ers Message Borads and I see a LOT of support for the new stadium and of course...a lot of non-support. It's good to see that people are passionate about the move. As I stated before, I'm looking forward to the new stadium. I want to post a few pictures of what the new place is supposed to look like for you to review.

I don't know about you but...this looks GREAT!!! I only hope that the 49ers organization name the stadium after Bill Walsh.

WOW! It's almost done. Now it's a matter of the vote and we SHOULD be getting ready for a NEW 49ers Stadium!!!

I'm not sure how most of you feel but, I was just saying today at the Select-A Seat at Candlestick, just how much I'm going to miss it. I have a LOT of memories at the stick. Dating back to the days when the Giants shared the field, I remember when I went to my first 49ers game...it was against the Bears and they Lost...LOL I was broken hearted.

It's going to be very interesting to have to drive that extra 25 mins. to get to the games when they move. I'm going to have to get up an hour earlier (5:00 am) to be down there in time for Club 49 set up. Man that too is going to be a LOT of fun. Our FIRST Club 49 tailgate at the Santa Clara Stadium...I wouldn't want to miss that!

OK to get this started, I have to tell you why I've decided to write about the OC's Martz and Raye. I read an article that I found to be very interesting. I'll give a link at the end.

Last season, Mark Martz came to the 49ers with the thoughts of turning our offense into something special...

what he brought was his own QB and little concern for what we had already had in place.

He told us that he was going to make Gore the focal point of the offense and that he was going to get the best out of Vernon Davis. Needless to say...none of it happened in my opinion.

Gore had a pretty good season but, I think he could have been a LOT better if his skills were utilized better. As for Vernon, we all saw where Martz's system left him...on the line of scrimmage for the most part as a blocker. Now, if that is what Matrtz meant about bring out the best in Vernon, then I guess he did his job. I was under the impression that Vernon was going to be burning down field and leaving LB's in his dust. As for the QB thing...well that was  complete disaster! More sacks given up then a potato farm. How in the hell can start a THIRD string QB over a Number 1 draft pick? I'm not sure but Martz did it. Well, when Mike Nolan was fired, I thought Martz would change his tune a bit...he did but not willingly. When Mike Singletary took over, things began to look a little more interesting. We DID see Vernon catching balls down field and we also saw a change at QB. Hill came in (due to an injury to Smith) and started making things happen that SHOULD have been happen all season long.

OK, evrybody is talking about our QB issues. I don't really see the problem. Alex Smith is coming of an injury that has not COMPLETELY healed but, he's throwing well at the OTA's.

This shouldn't cause panic for Hill fans. Hill is very much as good a QB as we've seen him be. I read somewhere that some think it might have been a fluke because of the offense that was being used by Martz. I don't care what offense is being run, if you have time to get the ball to your recievers down field, you'll complete 60-70% of your passes.

As for the competition for QB, Hill will get the call because of a few things. The first being the team will have a little more faith in Hill because he performance in the second half of the season last year. Hill took over for JT O'Sullivan and the team starting doing things. You could see that the team began to rally around hill and play with a little more passion and want.

Well, I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. Some of you might already know me from my involvement with Club 49 Tailgate Crew at Candlestick.

As you can see from the name on my blog...this is "theactor". I'm going to be writing here from time to time about what Club 49 is up to and of course about our San Francisco 49ers.

Since I have a few friends in the 49ers organization, I will sometimes have some inside info that you might not find anywhere else. I'm not saying that I'm going to have that kind of info EVERYTIME I write but, I will have some.

Anyway, I just want to let yu know that I'm here and I really hope that you will come back to see what "theactor" has to say. I can tell you this, I'm truley excited about the upcoming season for several reasons... Coach Singletary being the main reason. I have all the faith in the world that he is going to turn this team into winners again. I have it on good faith from one of my sources that it's already in effect in the locker room and on the practice field.
