Denver Game

Well the 49ers are off to a good start. Although I was hoping for more scoring from our offense, I was still pleased with the win.

The Defense was better than I thought they would be this early on in pre season. The way the secondary played was what I thought it would be...swarming! They were all over the place. They did give up a couple of big plays but kept their composure and played through it.

Both QBs looked a little shaky in my book. And from that game I can NOT see a clear cut winner or slight leader. And that's because I know that they can both play MUCH better. I spoke to Alex after the game and asked how he thought he did and he said " I could have done better but, I'm pleased to be back on the field." When I asked hill the same question, he just looked at me and said " We still have a lot of work ahead of us but, we're making progress in the right direction."

I didn't really get to talk to anyone else in depth...they were trying to get out of there and start enjoying the win and a day off. However, I did tell Joe Nedney that I was impressed. To which he replied, "Wow, I didn't even play and I'm gettin heat."

I also spoke briefly to Balmer and told him the same thing. We had a little fun with it and by the end of the conversation, he asked me if I had ever been a coach because I sounded like someone we all know too well...Singletary!

We laughed about that but, he knew that I was telling the truth and that I KNOW that they can be better than that. I told him and several other people that we should have CRUSHED the Broncos but, hey a win is a win...right?

Well, that's about it for now from me. I had a great time seeing all my peeps from Club 49!!

We were missing a few key players but, it's only pre season for us too. We'll be ready when the regular season starts!
