Well, I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. Some of you might already know me from my involvement with Club 49 Tailgate Crew at Candlestick.
As you can see from the name on my blog...this is "theactor". I'm going to be writing here from time to time about what Club 49 is up to and of course about our San Francisco 49ers.
Since I have a few friends in the 49ers organization, I will sometimes have some inside info that you might not find anywhere else. I'm not saying that I'm going to have that kind of info EVERYTIME I write but, I will have some.
Anyway, I just want to let yu know that I'm here and I really hope that you will come back to see what "theactor" has to say. I can tell you this, I'm truley excited about the upcoming season for several reasons... Coach Singletary being the main reason. I have all the faith in the world that he is going to turn this team into winners again. I have it on good faith from one of my sources that it's already in effect in the locker room and on the practice field.
My source told me not long ago that when he was given the job as Head Coach, players were ready to get back to practice in Feburary. In fact, the person I spoke with told me that he actually DID start working out in Feburary.
That is something, in my own opinion, that did not happen whlie Coach Nolan was here. Nothing against Mike Nolan but, I did not see the "fire" in the eyes of players going into the 2008 season. I was at just about every training camp and although they were having fun, they weren't as intensely focused as they have been this year. And we haven't even gotten to training camp yet. Add to that the addition of Mike Crabtree and a few other key elements on both sides of the ball, I see things moving up for the 49ers and it's evident from the way players are approaching this season.
So, that's just a little bit of what I'll be writing about throughout Training Camp, Pre-Season and of cousre, the 2009 regular season. And I'm here to tell you this too...I'll still be writing in January...COUNT ON IT!!!
