Did the 49ers make the right decision in making O'sullivan the starting QB? Alex Smith is sitting on the bench making a large salary and the 49ers lost their first game of the season. Some say that he got the starting spot because he played for Marx in Detroit and that probobly has a lot to do with it, but everyone knows that this is just a ploy to bring change to give hope to forty niner fans who have not seen their team go to the playoffs in as many years. My beliefs on this matter is that we need a veteran quarterback who has some experience and a winning record with another team. O'sullivan has been around for 8 seasons and has not been on the same team for more than one season. Also he has not started a whole season for any nfl team and therefore does not have the experience necessary to run a football team. We have already wasted 4 seasons of training a QB in Alex Smith and now how many seasons will it take for O'sullivan to settle in and lead this team back to playoff form. It is inevitable that yet another coaching change is coming in the near future because of questionable play calling and this QB change that gives us fans little hope for the future of our team.
