Red Zone Ranger NFL week 4

Red Zone Ranger NFL week IV

What can you say about last week's games. Some surprises, some expected results. Some teams like Detroit, St. Louis, probably the Raiders and the Texans are headed for losing seasons. Sure they might make things interesting in certain weeks. The Raiders and the Texans still have a way of being entertaining as they find ways to end up on the short end of the score. But it looks like the state of Ohio is going to be under football purgatory this year. But other teams like the
Bills and Broncos are already starting to show their weaknesses. (Like stopping the run). And I guess I was right about the Patriots. In my last post I questioned their strength without Brady and the mighty fish exposed them. We also saw how the Packers QB Rodgers stock has fallen.
He looked quite mediocre against the solid defensive front of Dallas that is starting to look similar to the level of those imposing teams they fielded during their dynasty years in the nineties. The Cowboys are clearly the team most likely to play in the SB this year. If it doesn't happen it will probably have something to do with a Romo sabotage event.
Anyway, enough of last week. This week we see an ancient venerable rivalry game played by KC and Denver. Only this time the Chieftains won't be able to hang and the Bronc's will have their way. The Bengals and the Browns will not be televised this week. Anyone seen with a camera anywhere near the field will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
I'm rooting for Bret to pull out a win this week at home against the desert Birds. If he doesn't then I'll just blame it on his ailing ankle.
Being a Niner fan, I'm taking the points with them this week. And the over. The Saints are offensively lethal.
Are the dirty Birds for real? They sure are putting up a lot of points so far.
If the Pack is really a top tier team, they should find a way to prevail over the Bucs.
If the Bucs control the game, then I think the Pack has been overrated.
Same goes for the Bisons. If they run roughshod over the hapless Sheep, then they may be a team to be reckoned with. But if they struggle like they did last week, then we'll see them back to usual form by mid October.
The Eagles are banged up this week, so whatever happens with them, I'll give them a pass.
And speaking of banged up, Big Ben of the mighty Steeltown looks like a lumbering statue and
seems quite fragile these days. Could the 'nevermore' birds have found the defensive magic they had in the early years of this century? (Have you noticed how many different birds we have in this league?) . Whatever. I'm looking forward to this tilt. Game on!
